Terry, Andrea and our Spaniel Tess would like to welcome you to Le Texier Gites
From the moment you arrive we want you to feel relaxed and enjoy the wonderful Dordogne. Whether you are looking for a relaxed holiday lounging by the pool or discovering the beautiful Dordogne. We guarantee you will love staying at Le Texier.
Our luxurious Gites are a mix of tradition and modern, with shuttered windows, traditional features, barbeque on the terrace, gorgeous garden furniture, quality mattresses for a great nights sleep, crisp white linen and fluffy towels. Each gite situated at opposite ends of the plot have their own inviting swimming pool and garden. Beautiful views across the fields of sunflowers and watching the wonderful sunsets.

Le Texier Gites are set in an idyllic plot of almost an acre surrounded by rolling farmland. A ten-minute stroll on paths through the fields takes you to the bustling year-round village of Verteillac with its bakery, butchers, bars, restaurants, church, brocante, and convenience store.
​
With the Haybarn sleeping up to six people in three bedrooms, and the Cottage sleeping two people with one large bedroom renting both properties together will suit larger groups of up to eight people, with more than enough space to keep everyone happy!
HAYBARN
The Haybarn
​
Upon entering The Haybarn you will find a large bright kitchen which is very well equipped with modern amenities including dishwasher, microwave, washing machine and fridge/freezer.
Step down into a fabulous open-plan lounge and dining area with comfy seating, fast Wi-Fi, Smart TV with English Sat channels. Featuring beautiful oak beams and beautiful large wood burner, the lounge also gives access to the south facing terrace, outdoor dining area and beyond to a private garden and pool.
Upstairs three large luxurious bedrooms (all super-king or twin) which overlook the garden and French countryside. Two of the bedrooms have newly fitted shower/en-suite facilities, with the third having access to a first floor shower room comprising a shower cubicle, basin and WC.
All have polished wood floors, large south-facing shuttered windows and soft inviting beds with super comfortable mattresses and cool, crisp white linen. Any of the three will take a child’s cot with little impact on your own space, although two of the rooms are a little more spacious.
In addition there is a bathroom downstairs with bath.

THE COTTAGE
The Cottage
​
The Cottage is that rare find - a smaller property but with all the facilities and finish you would normally expect to find in a larger house. It's perfect for a couple to get away and relax in the large living space. It’s also enjoyed by extended families wanting to rent both properties, with grandparents having their own space in the Cottage but with the rest of the family just across the garden!
This is a beautiful one-bedroom property that can sleep two people with a super-king size bed. There is a large open-plan living and kitchen area with log burner, high beamed ceilings and stunning views across the fields towards the village.

The Cottage at Le Texier has a south-facing terrace area and garden with its own heated pool, in a lovely private setting with views across the fields towards Verteillac. There is an en-suite bathroom off the bedroom with a large rain-head shower above a bath.
The Cottage is very well equipped with modern amenities e.g. dishwasher, microwave, gas hob, electric oven, washing machine plus fast Wi-Fi, Smart TV with English FreeSat channels.
